This weekend the HAAF joins our charity partner, the Army Flying Museum, in hosting the IAC for their annual dinner and AGM weekend. On Saturday morning some IAC members will fly in our aircraft from the museum premises, which will be viewable by the public.

We will host a senior management team from BDUK to demonstrate the HAAF’s STEM engagement activities in support of schools.

This event sees us hosting a visit from a veterans’ charity. Part of the charity assists in getting service leavers and veterans dealing with the hardship of leaving the forces back into civilian life.

We are flying in one of our vintage helicopters to a Hampshire school’s Combined Cadet Force open day.

We will have Auster 9, Scout, Beaver and Sioux available. Your Introductory Flight will help provide the funds to keep our historic aircraft flying.

We are hosting a visit from the Goodwood Aero Club at our home base in Middle Wallop.

There is no flying at this event, it is only a walk-in visit.

Come and see our Sioux aircraft, which will be static during the show, and will also take part in the Friday night photo-shoot.

You will be able to talk to the pilot and ground crews, and have a close-up look of this iconic helicopter that you may have seen in the TV series “MASH”.  The first Bell 47 flew back in 1945, and Bell are still making them today. Ours was built in 1964.

Come and watch our Scout and Sioux helicopters fly into this event and land on the school rugby pitch, where we will form a static display for the day.  You will be able to explore the aircraft up close and talk to pilots and ground crews.
